Boys- Loss 3-6 Girls- Loss 0-9

The Eagles entertained regional power McCracken County.  Graves County won three matches as Alejandro Hernando, 8-4 and Drew Jackson, 8-6 in singles and Hale-Carrico won 8-3.  All of the matches were competitive as Matthew Whitaker lost a close one 9-7 and Brady Ellegood lost 8-6. Coach Whitnell commented, “we have several veterans and several new players on this year’s team.  We have inexperience and have been limited by the weather. Our players have shown great resiliency throughout the season.  Their effort today was a sign their heart and determination.”

The Lady Eagles had a tall order on Wednesday as they faced the defending state champions, McCracken County Lady Mustangs.  Although the Lady Eagles didn’t record a win on Wednesday, they played several competitive matches as McKee, Schultz, Mitchell-Williams led in their match at one point or another.  Next match is on Thursday as the Eagles entertain Ballard Memorial at home.
