Boys Varsity Golf
On Tuesday afternoon, the Eagle Golf team hosted Mayfield, Paducah Tilghman, and Carlisle County.
The Eagles 152*, won the overall match with Mayfield 152, and Paducah Tilghman 188. Regulation play was not enough for the crosstown rivalry between Graves County and Mayfield. The two teams were tied after nine holes at 152. The teams headed back out to play a one hole sudden death playoff. Chase Carrico was the first in for Graves County and his birdie on the par four 18th was a good start for the Eagles. Cope, Roy, and Jackson followed with pars and the Eagles won the playoff by four strokes. This win extends the Eagles match win streak to six with St. Mary and Trigg County up next on Thursday at home.
To win the medalist honors for the match you had to shoot one under par. Eagle golfer Josh Roy earned that award with a 33, with Alex Jackson close behind with a 34. Other Eagle scores were: Chase Carrico 41, Taylor Cope 44, Kobe Allen 44, Lukin Rogers 61, and Grant Phillips 67.
Both Graves County Eagle and Lady Eagle teams will be in action on Thursday as they host St. Mary and Trigg County.
