Ellegood-Carrico  won Puckett-Morris 8-6

Hale-Mt Whitaker won Smith-Watson 8-1

George-Mk Whitaker lost East-Dunn 8-2

Highlights  Graves County started out pulling ahead after doubles as Carrico-Ellegood played a close #1 doubles court. The Eagle team jumped out to a 5-2 lead early before the Mayfield duo won four of the next six games to pull within a game at 7-6. The Eagles broke serve and won a 8-6 decision.  Hale-Whitaker won easily 8-0.  Singles started with the Eagles taking the first four singles courts. Eagle eighth grader Mark Whitaker and Cardinal Andrew Watson had the most competitive match as neither player could gain an advantage. Whitaker eventually pulled out a 9-7 decision.

Graves County GIRLS won 6-1

Carson McKee won Megan Null 8-2

Laken Schultz won Kiya Morris 8-0

Ellie Mitchell won Morgan Monroe 8-1

Gabby Lamb won Rachel Keipp 8-1

Madeline Byrd won Lanie Ralph 8-2


Allie Clark-Maddy Williams lost Null-Morris 8-5

Grace Thomasson-Maddy Williams won Keipp-Monroe 8-2

Highlights Rain could not prevent the Lady Eagles from completing the only match this week.  The Eagles and Cardinals took their match indoors.  The Lady Eagles won all of their matches but one with ease. Seniors  McKee and Lamb won with 8-2 and 8-1 decisions.  Freshmen Shultz and Mitchell won 8-0 and 8-1 decisions. Senior Grace Thomason and Maddy Williams won at number two doubles with an 8-2 victory.  The lone win for the Lady Cardinals came when Null and Morris trailed early 5-2, but changed their strategy. They won the last six games and the match, 8-6.  Both teams will be in action on Monday April 9th as they entertain St. Mary at 4 pm at the GCHS courts.
